It is important to know something of the deep and complicated background of all gay men, including the consequences of growing up a minority even in one’s own family, in which self-identity takes shape when there is no mirror. You will be introduced to strategies for enhancing and increasing sensory awareness in this workshop. Gay men don’t like the idea of a bridge between the self and body. A shift to internal happiness is created by internal unification. Unresolved issues that may not even be in patients’ awareness are indirectly addressed by these beneficial therapeutic processes. The possibilities for a profound sense of happiness are offered by addressing this.

The educational objectives are listed.

1. Define why hypnosis is a preferred treatment modality for gay men.
2. Utilize at least three successful hypnosis scripts with gay men.
3. Learn how to best interact with gay clients to enhance the outcomes of hypnosis.
